Central Pa Friends Of Jazz Camp at Messiah College

The 2017 Central PA Jazz Camp will be held at Messiah College June 14-17, 2017
The Camp is a four day event and will feature a major concert with Ben Wolfe's Trio (Orrin Evans & Donald Edwards) doing a tribute to Thelonious Monk on Friday evening and the Camp's Student Concert on Saturday evening.
Hosted by Messiah College's Music Department Chairman, Dr. William Stowman, the 15th annual resident/commuter Central PA Jazz Camp is for students aged 10 to 21.
There is no audition required to attend the camp, just a desire to learn the art of improvisation. Students of all instruments and voices are welcomed. Classes, performances and rehearsals will be held in the new High Center at Messiah College and feature studies in jazz history, master classes, theory, composition, arranging, jam sessions, ear training, and much more! ...

We are very pleased to have bassist Ben Wolfe heading the faculty this year and are looking forward to having our fifth Camp in the beautiful High Center at Messiah College.
